Most people will at some time experience being a carer. A carer is a person who provides unpaid care to someone with a chronic illness, disability or other long lasting health or care need, outside a professional or formal framework. This may be to aging parents, siblings or children.
Pårørendealliansen is the Norwegian network representing informal carers, irrespective of the particular age or health need of the person they are caring for.
Their aim is to advance the issue of informal care. They work hard to protect the rights of carers, especially in Norwegian politics.
